Edcet Result 2009
HYDERABAD: The EdCET-2009 examination for admission into BEd colleges concluded without any hindrances in the State today. Of 1.38 lakh candidates who applied for the examination, 1.26 lakh candidates appeared for the entrance examination recording 92 per cent turnout.
The authorities are planning to release the key within a week and announce the results within two weeks.According to the officials, the entrance examination commenced at 11 a.m. and concluded at 1 p.m. For the 68,396 seats available in 610 BEd colleges, 1.38 lakh candidates applied, out of which 73,779 are women and 64,544 men. But only 92 per cent of them turned out at the examination centres.
The authorities received applications in different subjects like 19,263 for maths, 9,206 for physics, 31,124 biological sciences, 75,751 social studies and 2,969 for English.The official will announce schedule for the web-based counselling after the results. EdCET-2009 convener Sudhir Reddy said that the examination has been conducted without any obstacles and assured to announce the results at the earliest.
